Zerzan is the grandson of Charles Joseph Zerzan Jr. who was a noted physician and decorated military officer〔(Congressional Record ) (June 3, 2008)〕 and nephew of Greg Zerzan, who served in senior positions in the U.S. Treasury including Acting Assistant Secretary.
Zerzan was born in the United States and educated in the United States, Canada, Spain and the United Kingdom. He graduated from the University of Toronto〔http://www.utm.utoronto.ca/careers/alumni-profiles/profile/andrew-zerzan〕 with a double major in politics and economics and subsequently studied financial regulation at the London School of Economics.
